so... I am not upset by an actress getting naked for ads and sponsor money...

I was not on board, though... when they decided that college and even HIGH-SCHOOL kids can monetize their sport since 2020 or something... I think that's too young and it goes against the point of sports but, at the end of the day... I don't care

a whole lot of women in sports and athleticism (and men too) use their image and body to get sponsor deals... and it doesn't bother me

Ads that feature a partially-naked, sexy chick are as old as advertising itself. From a graphic designer's perspective, it's well known that it doesn't work as an ad, as it centers the attention on the naked chick and not the product that's being advertised.

It's just another case of objectification of a young woman's body that serves no other purpose than to make incels drool over girls they'll never get, which inevitably comes with collateral damage to young girls and their body image. All for a sucky and hacky ad, the kind of which we've all seen a thousand times before.

Upset is the wrong word. I would say the controversy is necessary to show the state of female sport in modern society.

I´m more a supporter of all the women that step forward now pointing out that their achievements should be the main focus and not how they look. I hope the whole controversy actually changes something because there are differences in jerseys where I don´t get the reason for the difference other than it´s so be pleasing to look at for the audience.

More profoundly there are also differences in common sports wear like why do have most male sports trousers have pockets while so many female sports trousers have no pockets at all?

I haven’t seen it. I’m not a fan of the ease of sports gambling these days though. Sort of overexposed to Syd Sweeney’s Downsy lookin’ ass too😝 I won’t lose any sleep over it though. Gambling is just kinda lame to me🤷‍♂️

I saw all the “athletes” make workout videos with the caption: this is what a female athlete looks like Sydney.

Likes yes, we know. Obviously no one is doing sports butt-ass naked!

Still the art direction of the ad wanted it that way and paid her a lot to do it.

It's the way things are. Who knows how long her "15 minutes" will last, so might as well monetize it. Miley Cyrus, Lady Gaga, Madonna all sort of shock jocks in their own right and in the case of Madonna she managed to remain pretty visible for quite awhile so... why not. Not really on my radar to tell the truth though.
