help
dont eat salt...buy the low sodium kind from grocery store or supermarket...and eat just a little...
dont eat chemically packaged foods like canned and frozen...because commercially they use salt and preservatives to make shelf life longer and the salt content in them makes you gain weight and increase your BP
eat low cholesterol...dont eat egg yolks...make an omelet with egg whites only...dont eat beef or red meats...eat poultry like lean chicken breast turkey breast...fish...salmon! is extremely good for you they have omega 3 fatty acids that are good for you and fight cholesterol...and it tastes so good tooo its my favorite kind of fish!...if you want a burger...stay away from beef...stick to ground turkey burgers or salmon burgers...you can add more flavoring and spices you need the fat or real thing...
dring orange juice with low sugar and pom...the pomegrante juice its good for your heart!
Oh and the best thing you can do is stay away from outside food, restaurants, dunkin donuts, starbucks, etc
LEARN HOW TO COOK AND MAKE YOUR OWN FOOD...because you control what goes inside of your meals that won't harm you

I agree about salt. My dad was going to have to go on blood pressure medication, and he didn't want to do that so he just cut out a lot of the salt in his diet. The doctor told him the low salt diet worked amazingly, and he didn't have to take medication.
Stuff with potassium like bananas and soymilk for example. It says on my oatmeal container that it's good to eat if you have high blood pressure.
