I think it's got to do with insecurity. When a girl feels safe with a guy, she shouldn't flip like that, but I myself have been in the situation where you go a bit crazy, because something in the relationship was bothering me. The problem is, sometimes girls won't realize it until it's too late, I myself didn't even realize I was uncomfortable with the guy until it was over.

Question Asker Well we took a month break and when she found out I was dating other people (which was her advice) she all of a sudden wanted to get back with me. - 6 months ago
Answerer Hey - rereading my answer, it sounded pretty mean. I don't mean to disrespect you or her, I was just upset because it brings bad some bad memories. My ex-husband was a binge-drinker, and it caused me so much heartache, as well as problems with our kids. He was never violent and never saw it as a problem, but he would always choose drinking over us. I know you care about her and want to help her, but you can't. I'm so sorry - you sound like a good guy - please let her go. - 6 months ago

Maybe she is insecure and scared that you'll leave her so she's pushing you away

Question Asker This is another thing I have thought of. I have realized that I have been quite consistent throughout the relationship and she has not. - 6 months ago
Answerer Have you confronted her about her problem? If you haven't its probably not best because most people would get mad if you told them. - 6 months ago

Know how you feel man. One minute my ex is all lovey dovey then the next minute she breaks up w/me. Wish there was a different way. I can't really offer you any answers except that sometimes people think they are doing you a favor by "letting you go". Sometimes its for the best but most often its for the worst. They can't see how much you love them and that is a problem. Good luck though on solving this one. If you do let me know what you did or she did. I could really use the same help on my problem.

Bipolar disorder or Borderline Personality Disorder, both more commonly found in women, are reasons. Other than that, people just get scared, they say one thing but fear they made a mistake, so they retract it. It's normal to an extent.

Everyone flip flops at one time or another I think.
