Ladies.why does silence bother you? I don't understand why every girl I've ever had any type of relationship with always assumes that there's something wrong with me because I don't feel like talking. When I'm watching tv, I'm not angry.i'm just paying attention to what's on tv. I love the ladies!.Your all awesome!.but sometimes.I want to just sit down, watch tv and keep quiet. It's during tv time and car rides that last for more than an hour.I'm never mad.I just don't have anything to say at the time.Is this a girl thing or something.? a little help here would be great. - thanks j.

I don't care if there is silence, I think silence is good because it means you are comfortable enough with that person to just chill and not have to keep the conversation going. I think some females feel insecure and need to make conversation to make them feel better. Here is a good example, there is this guy I really like and we were just sitting next to each other not saying much, but just observing, and then this girl came up to him, who she is just obsessed with him and kept trying to make conversation with him to the point it annoyed him and he asked me to rescue him from the situation. There are going to be quiet times and it doesn't mean anything is wrong, it is actually a good thing because loose lips sink ships. I hope this helps.

Question Asker It does. You understand my question here. The only thing that makes the situation irritating is when your asked every few minutes....is something wrong? are you ok? why aren't you saying anything? talk to me? so what are you thinking? It's sweet that the person is considerate. It's just a little overwhelming sometimes. - 2 months ago
Answerer LOL I agree. I used to do that, but now I just don't care, if you are with me, that is all that matters. I think in all honesty that she is just afraid of the silence. There is no reason to continue asking questions if she is really comfortable with you. Maybe you should just tell her next time she starts rambling off questions, "can't we just sit here together in silence? I feel really comfortable just having you by my side and nothing is wrong because if there was I would tell you. " - 2 months ago
Answerer Have you told her the questions are overwhelming? - 2 months ago
Question Asker No, I never speak of overwhelming. My solution has been to lie and say I have to work late and go into work on sundays. I just go over to my mom's house and watch tv there! it's awesome! I spend time with mom, and I get a free ham and cheese sandwich and a nap! that's super. it's the the occasional car rides and saturday nights that get a little irritating. -j - 2 months ago
Answerer Why lie? Do you think she just won't understand if you tell her the truth? It might be in your best interest to come clean and it will actually help the relationship aspect out too. Just a thought. Let me know what you do. Good luck ;0) - 2 months ago

To me I just think it's annoying. If I'm hanging out with my boyfriend, I don't want to watch TV quietly with him, I could have just done that at home.

Question Asker Well when you both live together, then your in my shoes. It's ok to talk to each other a lot, but it's frustrating to try to just create conversation. I'll suggest your boyfriend tries to start up random conversation when your favorite tv show is on. I bet you'll think a little different then. - j - 2 months ago

Sometimes we think men want to be as social as we do. We forget that you are guys and have some different needs/preferences. I think silence is my fault sometimes ("did I say something wrong or not say something"?). It'd be nice if a guy put that in a pamphlet or something like silence is okay sometimes lol.

The tv part caught my attention! haha. I think we just worry about everything when we like a guy. its the same thing with phone calls. a friend says ill call later and doesn't because they get busy we don't notice. a guy says he will call and doesn't we totally stress out. anyway the tv thing made a laugh. I was on the phone the other night with a guy I really like and I was talking and he said hang on one second. so I quit talking and after a few seconds he starts laughing and asks if I say the commercial for a new movie. I was like you just made me quit talking so you could concentrate on an advertisement. he was laughing.

Question Asker Lol I have done that. You mentioned talking on the phone. That drives me crazy. I hate talking on the phone. I think girls should just understand that men can't talk and watch tv at the same time. We just can't stretch our concentration out that far. I've tried and I it's very bad to do that. Because if I do that then I get the most dreaded question a girl can ask. "ARE LISTENING TO ME?" God that's the worst. - 3 months ago

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
I would love to go somewhere casual like putt-putting or a fair .. not the movies though.. at least dinner before.. the point of the date is to get to know each other. I love laughing and relaxed atmospheres , so anywhere not to formal would be fun . it gives both people a chance to open up.

Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
My favorite past times, movies and books I like , also what kind of music . however I wouldn't spend the entire date talking about me .. we're supposed to be learning about EACH OTHER not just me. lol

Would you date me?
