I literally don't know what to do because I am so confused...help?

I have know this very sweet guy, good looking too for a long time. And I've always had an interest in him. For as long as I can remember he's always joking around me and teasing me. He also likes talking to me about male subjects and likes telling me stories about peope he knows or things he's that he finds interesting.most of the time like I said they are kind of male type of subject matter.

I find it funny how he's so comfortable and thinks its okay to touch my things. Like if I have a my purse or a bag with me and if I have to get anything out of it.he'd be like "Where's your keys?(for example) Is it in your purse?" and if I say yeah .he'll just go right ahead and open it and take it out for me.without asking for permission.one time a while back I was giving him a ride home for maybe the 2nd or first time and he starts touching the air freshner that I had hanging from my rear view mirror.

The last time I hung out with him he really kept laying it on think when he teased me. He kept teasing me (in a nice way) and over exaggerated it and kept joking around.at one point he asked me if I've been around at the get togethers and I said no that I haven't really been around in a few weeks.and he asked me why not and I told him its because of the stuff I've been dealing with (which he knew about already) and I said but I'm back now. Then he goes on to say "Well, welcome back.we've been waiting for you to come back." and between you all and me.I don't think there's really a "WE" cause I don't think anyone we both know was actually waiting for me.but after like an hour it was time to call it a night and he did nothing really to prolong the evening or anything. As I was leaving he asked me if I was gonna hang out with him the next week and I said yes and that I should be able to. Then he asked me if I was giong to go to some event on the following monday.and I said no that I'd be around at some get together that's in a couple of days.and he was like oh okay in a few days then and that was it.

The only problem I see going on is if we're in public at like a get together or what not.he won't really talk to me alot.he may say a few things to me at some point.usually its when I first arrive (even if its at someone's place).

I try and flirt (I don't know if I'm successful at it) and I smile a lot cause he's funny when he's joking around and I listen to his stories he tells me.but I don't know what I'm doing wrong cause I don't think he's getting the hint.

So what do you all think. Interested? Not interested? How do you all think I can show him I'm interested without having to tell him.i need as much details as possible.

Probably either has another girl friend or just isn't interested in you in that way. The part about touching our things is just plain weird and I can't tell you what that might be about, sorry!
