Do guys avoid liking their best friends sisters?

Basically

Boys joke about their mates little sisters all the time. They take the piss and pretend they fancy her want to take her out etc. And after about 5 minutes of teasing like this the mate will usually snap and say.

If you ever go out with my sister I will disown u/put you in a headlock for all eternity/kill you etc etc.

So for this guy to go out with you

1) he would have to ditch your bro and all mates concerned, which kind of makes him a pussy

2) you would want to date someone that did that

3)he's probably gonna be to much of a man to dis his friend by going out with you

There is a bit of an unspoken rule that you don't date your mate's sister, for a number of reasons.

1: If the relationship goes bad, it can screw up your friendship with your mate

2: It's considered a bit 'rude'. Bro's before ho's.

3: It would feel 'weird', almost incestuous or somehow homosexual. It's sort of like saying "I like the female version of you dude".

Of course, that's all pretty much crap. Sure it happens, and it often happens in reverse too. One of my better friends is my GF's brother. It's just that, that's the more common thought process, especially when younger. We generally won't "date" a mate's girlfriend, but we might marry them.
