Do girls like nice guys?

Of course girls like nice guys. I doubt any girl would dump a guys for just being nice. However there are other qualities that are bigger factors for how attractive a guy is. It is all too common for a guy to be very attractive both physically and in personality to women, yet lack any quality of niceness, or even any qualities appropriate for a serious relationship. I think as a girl gets older, and gains some real world experience, she learns to avoid that kind of guy.

However, guys who call themselves "Nice Guys" are often different from guys who are simply nice, caring or respectful. Some of these guys are quite misogynistic, as they blame all women everywhere for their lack of dating success. The HBI website explains further:

As armyant said, you're basically asking for misleading information.

Perhaps 'lie' is too strong a word; a better one would be 'self-delusional.' They really think that they want nice guys, but face to face with an 'oh so hot' rebel, rock star, what have you, they'll choose him at least 75% of the time. They simply don't fully appreciate how sexy and attractive a 'bad boy' will seem at the time.

Doesn't make it any easier on us though, does it?

some girls like nice boys and some like good boys it pretty much depends on the girl. Me I like both bad guys cause their life is full of excitement  and new things always something new and dangerous to try out. And good boys cause they're sweet, charming, sensitive, and they know how 2 treat a girl with respect. Usually I go out with good guys cause the bad one only like playing and messing around with the girl so I just keep them as a friend

yeah I do! I want him to be nice, but NOT super nice you know. I want him to have this little bad ass thing about him too.

Its about balance... but yeah, nce guys are the way to go. I don't think its cool when a guy treats a girl like crap!

It all depends on the girl. But it'd be very unattractive to find you being something you're not. I'd rather someone real. I like real guys.

girls like nice guys with a bad side. also if you are still in highschool then mostlikely you won't find that girl that likes nice guys till ur 20's

Yes, I love nice guys. :) Quite honestly, the whole bad boy thing just never did anything for me. I don't see the appeal to them at all (no offense to the girls who love bad boys). Nice guys are just so much easier to open up to and I think it's so much easier to be yourself around them and joke around. ^-^

You know in all reality this is a tough ? Girls like the guys who they can get enough of the ones who hurt our feelings give us a hard time etc. I mean I can't speak for every girl here but I've noticed it and my guy friends the 'good' ones have too. They tell me why I or my friends always go for the douche bags when the good guys are right infront of us. I think these days its sometimes hard to tell which are the so called 'good' and 'bad' guys. & like Latoyia said they all seem nice at first!

my boyfriend is EXTREMELY sarcastic and I've gotten use to it, and him being a smart ass all the time is part of why I like him so much, but I do wish he would be nice a little more often. he does say and do nice things, I just wish he would do it more often.

so just be yourself, and don't be OVERLY nice because it will seem fake. just be polite and respectful and don't take yourself too seriously.. relax and make jokes and laugh and girls will like you.

I like *assertive* nice guys. If I walked all over a guy and got whatever I wanted, I honestly wouldn't be happy. You have to be able to stand up for yourself and take control of some things.

We like bad boys cause it's a sexy image, however it never I't last long it's just an impression. There's nothing like a guy who doesn't try too hard, who is himself, NICE, and overall cool. That boyrfriend material, just makes me want to be with them.

I feel a guy needs a mix of both,but then again girls don't always know what they want.They can say they want this,but then go after something else.

The "bad boys" are the ones you hang out with to have the wrong kind of fun with. Good guys are the ones you fall in love with :). Hope that helps!  P.S., I always root for the good guy.

It really depends on the girl. I've always been someone who likes nice guys. I find that the bad boys are more of a challenge but a nice is the kind of guy you want to put a ring on your finger.
