Is it a bad thing to have a ton in common?

Question

So I'm seeing someone.. We have so much in common. Down to common phrases we say. Is that a bad thing? I wonder if that means we will butt heads.. Anyone been in a situation like this? I usually go for people that are opposite than me. SO,i am not sure what to expect.

Personally I prefer having things in common. It gives us more things to talk about. I've dated guys that were opposites from me and it was weird. Especially cus I'm more tomboy and they liked all the girly things that I hate like cuddling (sweet after sex or when I'm sick but otherwise...ugh, awkward) and shopping and not really into sports or anything. I'm sorry, but if I have to be the dude in the relationship then it's a definite no go.

I like dating guys that LOVE sports and LOVE playing sports or being outside. It gives us things that we can do together without worrying the other will roll their eyes and feel agonized. Plus having music and movies and shows in common is good so that you can chill together and bond through the things you like.

Honestly, I think it's a win-win.

The more that you have in common the less you have to compromise on. A lot of times in relationships it's frustrating to have to do something that you're really not into just because the other is into it and vice versa. It's do much easier to know that the person that you're with agrees with you and will think that same thing in the same situation. I think that it's great for you and makes him be a friend too as oppose to just a boyfriend, I think that that's the best kind of relationship to have. =]

not at all. some parts of them will balance you out for sure. my last girl(earning her back slowly :D ) and I had nearly everything in common.  Music, Political views,  style, hobbies, wordings, etc.

You usually date guys that are opposites?  That doesn't seem to have worked out for you if you are still looking.  Don't date who you usually would go out with, try someone new.  Someone like you seems like a good place to start!  The only thing that sucks to have in common with someone is being stubborn and not willing to give in to compromise, when both people are like that then that is when it leads to fights.

no because the two people can connect. with a guy who doesn't understand what I'm talking about, it sucks. but I just have to work harder to find stuff we like or whatever
