Should I ask her out for ice cream?

Question

So I've decided I'm going to ask this girl to go out for ice cream or maybe to the movies soon. I was thinking I'd probably ask her to grab some icees or ice cream on a school night when she doesn't have work to do, so I was wondering if that's a good idea or not? And I was wondering if it would be ok if she were to tell me she's not doing anything and asks what I'm doing and I say nothing or whatever but I'm gonna take you for ices/ice cream in like 10 minutes or is that lame/cheesy or whatever. Thanks!

No, unless she is lactose intolerant than she would definitely say 'YES' to ice-cream. Haha, that is how my parents met (lol). Just stick to ice cream first. It's short, doesn't take up too much time. For some reasons, if she says no, and she has something to do. But does say she would like to do it sometime. Ask her when would she would like to go out (i.e. Oh, okay, are you off work same time next week? ). If she keeps coming with a pile of excuses and seems to make no effort. Then drop it. But, seriously, who can say no to ice cream? Good luck dude!

The ice cream idea sounds like a good plan! But like what the guy said below me. Its sounding like something from a movie. Just keep it simple. If she asks what you are doing tonight. Just say nothing but go do you wanna go get ice cream! Or just straight up ask her.

It sounds like something you'd hear in a movie. Why not just ask her whether she'd like to go for an ice cream? It may not be as production worthy as your routine but simplicity is a good thing unless you are trying to earn yourself an Oscar. :)

Nothing wrong with that girls like that stuff, but before you do ask her this say hey what's your fav kind of ice cream, and if she tells you some flavor, then say ok  now I know where I am taking on our first date.
