I had an encounter the other day where I wasn't sure if the guy was being nice or flirting. He told me he liked my watch and then asked if he could have it. He is always cutting up with me, but I was kind of taken off guard and I said no. He said that was rude and I said I didn't mean it that way and was smiling saying yes you did. Later he wanted to borrow a pen and I said you can have that. He said at least I got a pen. How should I take this? I want meaning to be rude.
You're not being rude at all! This behaviour I must say is very strange of him. Maybe he was trying to be funny and start a flirt with you, sometimes not being nice to someone is a sign of interest. Animals scratch and fight with each other when they have sexual interest. Its the same with humans only that they do it verbally. Hope I could help you RomanShowman
