I've recently noticed my health improving, and I attribute it to the changes I made to my diet . Growing up I would eat fast food, drink soda, and eat candy whenever I wanted . Later in life, when I was in the military, I had a break from the junk food for extended periods of time . Now I try to eat those foods and I can not enjoy them . I taste the sugar more, the processed fast food makes me ill, and the candy isn't very important . So I made the decision to stop drinking soda (all of that corn syrup is a killer), and fast food I avoid like the plague . Over the span of a few months I noticed I was breathing easier and had more energy .
Has anyone else had their diet change for the better or worse ? Or have you experienced some side effects from eating only one type of food for too long ? I was just thinking about it today, in my opinion I can agree with the saying that we are what we eat .
Yea, I changed my diet about 3 years ago and it's been great .
I have more energy and I've lost weight . One of the great benefits from changing my diet however is when I do eat fatty foods, I feel bad for doing it morally and physically .
I feel as though I'm cheating which is a good incentive for not doing it (although it happens) . Physically, after eating a hamburger, I feel sluggish and greasy which is another reason I try to stay away from it .
Advice ? Drink water of liquid sugar (Soda) . Or drink anything but soda .
Right . I only drink a soda once a month, to remind myself of why I stopped in the first place . Eventually I hope to kick the habit completely . Some foods, darn them, are just better with a soda though ! - 9 months ago
I've been eating more junk food since I've been in the military lol. It doesn't effect my weight though and I'm a sugar fanatic so it gives me energy at work lol. I balance it out though because I love fruits and veggies as well, so I usually eat a salad with a candy bar lol. I'm a pretty balanced person, so I'd have to agree that we are what we eat as well lol. Seriously though that's great that you've made a healthy decision for yourself!
I did the same thing 4 months ago . I have lost weight and I have more energy and my skin is not as oily . I don't have breakouts anyway but my skin has changed . Believe it or not, my attitude is better .
