My mom wants to go to clubbing with me? does this sound crazy?

so my momma suggested to me this morning that she wanted to nightclub with me...lol

i would personally be embarrassed...does anybody else think my mom is out of her mind (she's 46)? Does this sound cheesy? lol

Has anybody ever been clubbing with their own parent? lol...I would imagine it being quite awkward...

Some nightclubs cater to the older crowd. To avoid getting her rejected at the door (some night clubs won't let older/unattractive women in, too many guys in, people that aren't dressed well, etc.) it would be best to scout out the place first and find out the average age range of the crowd that hangs out there. Doing so in advance will give her a better chance to enjoy herself and not be awkward for you as well.

My friends Mom went clubbing and a guy around our age started hitting on her and she said "how old are you?" and he said "25" and his mom says "I have a son that's as old as you!" and he leaves lol

My aunt is like 56 and still goes out clubbing every weekend till at least 2am. When I go visit her in New York she is planning on having me join her. It's only weird/awkward/crazy if you tell yourself it is. Otherwise it could end up being a great story to share later in life.

On St Patricks day I went to a pub with my mom and her boyfriend. Saw her take shots for the first time lol. We both got hammered, it was great.

I think your mom just wants to bond with you as two grown women...doesn't sound like a bad idea.

Would a more chill scene like a divebar seem more palatable to you than a nightclub (cauz maybe you don't mind dancing)?

I go clubbing a lot.

It's not unusual for a mom to be seen with her daughter. It usually is very obvious too.

I don't care, it's just for fun, right.

Yes, sounds a bit awkward. Most people at an age to go clubbing want to distance themselves from their parents to be their own person - not have a chapparone.
