How to be treated my age

ill start by saying I'm 19 I have my drivers license and ill be starting school in September. I'm in my first serious relationship and my parents (mostly mom) don't like it.

i always have to tell my parents where I'm going, who I'm going with, when ill be back, etc. my mom texts me when I'm with my boyfriend asking what we are doing and where we are. she doesn't allow me to go to his house (but I go anyway) and I can't spend the night anywhere even if its a female friend.

my brother is 21 and its the total opposite with him he can just come and go as he pleases. he goes to clubs and drinks, but I dont. he stays out late and comes home then next day to sleep then does it all over again.

should I just start doing what I want like my brother, I'm about to be 20 and I'm tired of being treated like I'm 10.

i keep telling my mom to let me grow up but she doesn't let go and she's too overprotective.

please give me our thought, comments, any questions etc ...

First of all, you're their daughter. Most parents ARE more protective of their daughters more than their sons.

Secondly, you should be happy you have parents who give a sh*t about you. They actually care and most likely just want you to be safe. There's nothing wrong with that. But if you want a little more freedom, then you need to sit down with them and explain that you are not doing anything wrong and that you deserve to be teated like more of an adult. BUT, if you want to be treated like an adult then you should act like an adult. Comparing yourself to your brother is very childish and immature in my opinion. So, be adult about it and talk to them about WHY you think you deserve more freedom and don't bring your brother into it. Come up with your own reasons and sit down with your parents and have a serious and mature talk about it.

Thirdly, really, as long as you live with them, you have to abide by their rules. If you want to go out and party and drink and your parents don't like it then either move out or accept it and stop complaining.

As long as you live with your parents then you are kinda stuck to their rules. If you don't think they would kick you out, or you are willing to test it, you could just start doing what you want. Then they would have no choice but to either accept it, or to kick you out. If they did kick you out, then they would lose all power over you, so I think that is unlikely, although it is possible.
