What it means when my ex-girlfriend starts texting/flirting with me again?

When we first met, she liked another older guy, then I won her love and she fell for me. But before she left for FSU, we broke up. Then I got word she cont.d to talk to that other guy after the split. Now, almost 6 months later, she starts keeping in touch with me, playfully calling me sexy like she used to, even mentioned that "we could hang out and have a drink soon if I wanted to." Btw, I don't know if this matters but I'm 21 and she is also.

How should I take this? Thank you all for your input!

In my opinion she realized that misses what she had with you and want its back .. and yeah things probably didn't work out with the other guy. if you don't mind me asking how did you respond to thoes texts? (ie flirt back, did you end up meeting up ..)

No please, ask away :). Yea I did flirt back a bit. Not too much tho since, as you can imagine, I was a little skeptical as to why this started to begin with. This started about a week ago, and when the semester ends around late April is when we briefly spoke about meeting up. Its her 21st birthday in a couple of weeks & that's why she mentioned we could have a drink and hang out, I figured the least I can do is hear her out and see what her intentions are with all this "catching up".

Yea since then we have pretty much gotten to a level where we talk to each other with affection as if we are back together. I am trying to keep steady and not too emotionally invested because I don't want to get hurt again. I always had feelings for her ever since we first got together, so even though my intentions were not always there, I thought about it. I said I hoped she wouldn't take for granted how I feel, and she said that she cares for me too much to do that, so we'll see. Tryin tokeep steady
