Lets say you were bullied by the opposite sex as a kid, you get older, you didn't commit suicide and meet up in your mid late 20's and you both are single.

Of course. People change. I don't understand why people perpetuate this "fixed mindset" mentality where they think others have no potential to change.

For example, I just think statements like, "Once a cheater, always a cheater," are very erroneous and narrow-minded. Another example is men forgoing dating a woman because of her having many sexual partners (which I personally don't see as a problem at all, by the way). I wish people had more of a "growth mindset".

But depends on how bad the bullying was. If it was playful hitting some girls don't know how to express emotions when they are younger. So physical contact and insults are their way to interact with you.

If it was just the first, which I have undergone during my earlier school years then I'm over it by now.
However, if I were to have ever been actually physically bullied then nope.

Nah, pass. I'd want nothing to do with him. I wasn't bullied exactly, but this one guy used to call me names as a "joke" for years. I didn't let it get to me, because I didn't care. But years later he "grew into his looks" and tried to be nice to me. Still didn't care for him, and just tolerated his presence if I had to.

Seems a little narrow-minded to think that just because a person was a certain way as a child, that he'd be the same as a grown man.

A lot of people, as @Octavius said, are brutal as children, but many grow out of it and become nice people.

Additionally, honestly, that's a pretty shitty thing to do to a person, regardless of what they did to you.

It depends really.. I was an asshole child who grew up to be a relatively good person. I think when it comes to stuff like that that people can change.
