Is it okay to ask relationship advice from your boyfriends best friend?

In my opinion, no one would know him better than his best friend. If you and your boyfriend are having a constant issue and no amount of talking is helping, Is it okay to discuss the problem with his best friend to get insight into how you can better approach the problem?

  • This sounds like it has more backfire potential than a mortar shell.

    • Lol! Yeah? Damn :( I've run out of ideas then

    • So you have a problem that you can't seem to solve by talking to him about it?

The LAST thing you want to do is create entirely new problems by talking to his best friend about it.

Sounds like you need to try different forms of communication.

    • Thanks! I think you're right!

  • Sure, go for it. It's worked for me in the past. It generally helps alot, and for pretty much the exact reason you mentioned. You get a different perspective and the insight helps you approach the problem differently. Go for it.

  • well if you put it like that, yes.

but, if the boyfriend comes to know about this and doesn't know what you are up to.. he'll be pissed.. super pissed.. I know because I would be

    • Maybe I should tell him I'm going to try to speak to his friend and get advice?

    • sorry, but I couldn't help but read your other comment. the friend is getting married ?

awesome. its the perfect situation for you. no need to talk to your boyfriend. just go and take some advice from the bf's boyfriend. but make it quick. I mean, don't go on spending too much time with him face to face or on the phone. you with me ?

  • Iam sure you would get some insight, from his friend's point of view, but I am sure your boyfriend won't appreciate this much. Practical, but a minor infraction of the rules ...

How hot is his friend by the way ? =)

    • Hahahaha! His friend is attractive but he's getting married in like 3 months- he's a very decent guy. I don't think he could be tempted to betray my boyfriend which is precisely why I wanted to speak with him.

    • Hahahaha, oh you are such a hussy, well in that case I do not recommend it.

  • Of course. Why not?

  • No, it is not...relation issues are private as I see it

  • Maybe . . . because it would be like spilling the intimate beans of our relationship. It could give people ammo for rumors to start as well.

Is the problem-if not solved- enough to end the relationship?
