What do you do if your best friend goes MIA?

My best lives in another state. We've maintained our friendship since I moved away almost 10 years ago! We've always been good about keeping in touch with one another. Usually we call each other once a week. But I haven't heard from her in over 2 months now.

I texted her and tried to call her but it always goes straight to voicemail or she doesn't pick up. I texted her saying that I didn't like being ignored and that it was hurting my feelings but she didn't reply. She always replies. She called me last week cause I sent her a message on Facebook that we needed to catch up. I didn't answer her call cause my phone was on silent but she left me a voicemail and seemed cheery and wanting to talk. But when I called her back, she didn't pick up and she never called me back.

We even went snowboarding together for spring break.

I don't get it. What's her deal? Why is it so hard to send one text or just make one phone call for maybe like 10 minutes. No one is THAT busy. It just really hurts my feelings and I'm angry and hurt that I haven't heard from her. I really want to talk to her cause she's the person that I always confide in, and her to me. We always talk about our problems together and are very close.

Now? Nothing.

I don't know what to do. I just know how I feel. Could someone offer some insight or advice about this issue?

She texted me back...a day later...and is like, "I'm sorry, there are just some things I wanna talk to you about. I miss ya and hope your doing well."

Don't judge straight away. You never know what's going on in her life. My advice is not to get worked up about it, and just be a little more laid-back. Let her contact you when she's able to or when she wants to. It could just be that she needs a little bit of a break from you for whatever reason, or it could be that something serious is going on in her life that's actually keeping her from talking to you. You never know. For now, just give her space and hope that soon enough things will get back to normal. Just keep on living your life the way you normally do, and don't worry about what's going on with your friend. Feel better soon :)

It means exactly what it said. She wants to talk to you about things going on in her life. See, I told you, there could be things going on in her life keeping her from talking to you. Anyway, just don't worry about it. Don't get worked up. Stay calm, and just wait patiently until you guys can talk on the phone and sort things out. In the meantime you can reply to the text with something like "sure. missing you a lot".

she is most likely ignoring you because she doesn't want to have anything to do with you. I know you like her because she seems like a good friend but its possible she doesn't feel the same about you because you have absolutely nothing to offer? Think about it. You are probably just feeling lonely and desperate because you are having trouble finding friendsbut try a little harder and you will find someone. Try volunteering to help the seniors or exconvicts. I know it might not be very attractive but you can't afford to be picky at these times. Best of Luck!
