depends on the girl. have humour that matches hers.
creativity is always a plus, some people can make anything funny.
Making it slightly teasing and personal works too.
I personally like a bit controversial/dirty jokes every now and then.
I don't mind getting laughed at because of my own stupidnesses as long as it's kind mannered, and I've been told I'm weirdly okay with guys making sexual comments towards me - I always just turn them into a joke and let the offending guy baffled because he expected me to get embarrassed.

One time, a friend of mine who is great at playing the piano played and sang "straight white male" from bo burnham for me. It sounded better than and equally as funny as the original. I've been laughing all throughout the song and was instantly strangely attracted to him.

Tl;dr: find out what that specific girl finds funny and go from there.

Try not to be creepy about it.

I shocked a guy last week when he was trying to throw me off balance.
Im a vegetarian, he offered me a bite of some meaty fast food he was eating and I reminded him I didn't eat any meat.

Just show genuine interest in getting to know her and also complimenting her in a way that a friend wouldn't. Tell her that she matters to you. Then ask her if she'd ever consider dating you. If she says yes, then give her a time and place. If it is a no, then you still have a friend.
