Why are women so desperate for male attention?

I can tell by what women say, that they are just trying to get male attention. I can also tell they are just saying things because they think men will like them more. Why are women so obsessed?

Some women need attention from males to make themselves feel better. They don't like who they are, so they try to change themselves into something they think guys will like. I think a lot of it is insecurity and a low self-esteem. I also found that being myself attracted the kind of people I knew would like me for me and I did not have keep up some act.

I believe you are stereotyping all women to be desperate for male attention in your description. I believe persons who are desperate for attention could be saying "these types of things" or being obsessive because of low self esteem. Just remember not all women, or men for that matter, are desperate for male/female attention.

First of all, I did not say all women. I'm just tired of so many women changing who they are just to get a man's attention. I think is sad & that they need to get some self respect.

Exactly. I'm a girl but I have a brother whom some would say is attractive. Every time my best friend and her sister come to my house, they make it a competition to see who can get his attention longer. They basically throw themselves at him and completely ignore me which is really annoying and they constantly fb message him and text him. Now he isn't into any of them and has given them hints but they're not getting the hints. I just don't know what happened to subtlety and the guy making the first move. It seems like girls are the ones doing the chasing and guys just sit back and wait for the girl to come along. Not me though. I am a women of high morals and will not throw myself at just any guy who is attractive. I believe if a man is worth dating, he will approach me first

thats how nature is .. girls go for male attention and guys go for girls attention .. that's how you attract people .. plus .. people change it doesn't have to be for men .. and like " southern_belle " said .. some women need attention from males to feel better about them selves .. that's what guys do as well
