i have a best friend who's always the centre of attention. I can't understand why to me we both seem to be quite good looking but in different ways. I don't understand what's the deal.guys that approach us always chat her up even though I try to smile and appear friendly. it's making me so unconfident. even our friend that I have a huge crush on likes her.guys never notice my good features. I don't understand how guys have the same taste because it seems that all the guys in this planet seem to like her better. we have kinda similar personalities but I find her a bit goofy and annoying and I can't understand what's the deal

That is the same thing happening to me. I have a low self esteem but I don't think I'm not even worth giving me a chance? At least for my personality which is really fun. My best friend is pretty and all but it makes me feel really sad when I'm with her 'cause I can't help but to compare. About half a year ago I started talking with this guy on snapchat by accident and we became really good friends, even though we don't really know eachother in real life. Anyways, we've been sending eachother memes on ig and I accidently made a group with him and my bff in it. We decided to send memes there, all three of us, but now they mostly flirt with eachother, it's not very obvious but it's there. I don't mind them talking but it hurts me when they just leave me out. I know that they can do what ever they want and I would never try to stop her from talking to him or something. I just can't tell her that I feel hurt bc of it. At the same time it makes me wanna cry. It also doesn't help my depression...

Oh my god! This comment is gonna be a little bit late but I exactly feel the same thing! My late bestie is always the centre of attention, and were both good looking, that's what people say. But I think she's annoying because I feel like she's always trying to show everybody what she feels or doing, and people always laugh and appreciate. She uses my jokes mostly and makes people laugh. When I make jokes people laugh too but she seems to be more fun to them. Some girls say hi to her, not to me, she's so confident which can be so annoying. Now the recent thing is the crush thing. I didn't use to love him but now he seems so cute. Theyre texting all the time, when we 3 are out, he laughs at my things too but always looks at her eyes. Its killing me. On the other hand, I love her, she's like even more than a sister to me but sometimes can't stand it.

Omg! Same!!! My bestie is always so confident and positive, and gets all of the attentions, and I'm pretty sure my crush likes her (like all in my class do) . My bestie doesn't even like boys (she's asexual) but all the boys seem to like her. I know how you feel. Sorry for my bad English, it's not my first language.

i know exactly where your coming from, I'm currently going through the same thing.

all I can say is try and get in with another crowd, be her friend and everything but have some people that you can hang around with without her being the centre of attention.

remember, your just as good looking as her and just as fun to be around.

if your crush liikes her, let him. show him exactly what he's missing; stop trying to compare yourself to her, there's always something your better at than her, you just have to find it and flaunt it :)

Wow, I'm going through the same thing. I've been asking myself that question for a while now. My best friend always gets the guys to like her, even when she's not trying. I never do. And she always talks about it, and it breaks my heart, because now this guy I have a crazy, insane thing for likes her I think. She's always texting/hanging out with him and I want to tell her she may be leading him on, but I would feel like a bad friend.. I wanna say, I feel your pain. And good luck <3

dont worry about it too much, first of all you know her more than these guys do. but second this happens to most of us and right now you're the friend of the girl. but usually things change and guys will notice you more.

omg I have exactly the same situation, and I'm not being a bit*h but she's not even thhaaaat pretty! anyways I liked this guy and she KNEW and then I introduce her to my friend on MSN and then she TOTALLLLY starts flirting with him right in front of me?!?! then we do meet him to go shopping and she goes all shy and stupid. she also went out with my ex (who I am still really close friends with), but the thing is that she has told me that once she lieks / has gone out with a guy she would be mad if we even openly liked them never mind going OUT with them

its so fustrating cos I know if I tell her she will have a little hissy fit and not talk to me cos she's quite spolit and likes her own way (shes an only child - not saaying ALL only children and spolit and want their own way), andi don't want to lose her as a friend cos she's a nice person apart from this? :(((((((((

Awww, hey it happens! Look, just be more out going! Forget this crush you have, if he likes her, he likes her! Find someone who likes you! Maybe try to hang with some other friends instead of always her. That way you don't always have competition!

i've been there, and I just got really fed up with itt and stopped talking to her lol. Well that's just me because I'm easily annoyed lol. but anyways, if one day you do finally get fed up with it just tell her enough's ENOUGH. and guys can be really weird like that, so I can't really give ya an answer for them.
