Your question has been asked by nearly every young woman on the planet at some time. Young guys are rarely as mature as young women. Most of them are (hopefully) trying to understand the multitude of feelings that they are having on many subjects, but few are very successful at it. He may respond in a manner that may further confuse you. This may be true because he would like to have your adoration, but has his own sights set on another. But does not want to lose you as a option. It can become even more complicated, his honesty will come into play, and you may see a side of him that may change your feelings about him. Your best position is one of deep observation; taking into account his being viewed by many others, look for him to make an effort to get your attention when you make yourself available. You are holding the winning hand to your own heart, you don't want to give him a clue if he is unable to play it well. You must be sure you want him to know before you play your hand. Take more time and do the necessary homework. You are a treasure, you want to be discovered, not given away.
If you really like him and really need to get something off your chest, take a chance and tell him how you feel. Like Bradley said, be straight forward. I like it when women are straight forward with me and tell me things straight up. It shows me that they are honest and makes me even more interested in them.
If said guy is yours they tend appreciate you openly communicating with them. If said guy happens to have talked to you a few times in passing it'll probably freak him out.

sure so long as there is no bulling. We don't like being pushed around with your. Escalation of emotions as our relation evolves. sh*t. didn't I tell you already that I liked you. lol jk you should feel free to say how you feel
I think you should definitely mention something about it or otherwise it is really hard for us to "read" into clues and that sort of stuff, I personally prefer the girl to be a bit more straight-forward if she is interested :)
