Difficulty swallowing and swollen lymph node from being choked a few days ago?

I was choked a few days ago to the point that I could not breathe. The choking lasted no more than 15 seconds (although it's hard to accurately remember how long in a situation like that) and for the first couple of days afterward there were no marks, lumps, or signs that anything was wrong. There was some swelling around my shoulder on the same side where the swollen node is but that was probably from other harsh physical contact in that area. However, I woke up Tuesday the 21st feeling really lousy, almost sick (cold/flu like) and I told myself it's because I slept near a fan and I probably just had the sniffles or allergies. Well yesterday and today I've noticed that my lymph node (left) is swollen into a lump; it's not outwardly visible but I can feel it when I touch my neck. My nodes seem to swell a lot over little things so I never really worry about them that much but what I am concerned about is the difficulty to swallow. It's not so uncomfortable that I can't tough it out. I can eat painlessly but when I casually swallow or drink something slowly it's really hard (but definitely not impossible).

My questions are: Are difficulty swallowing and the swollen lymph node after being choked normal reactions? Should I be worried? Is it possible that the swelling and pain are unrelated to the choking and if so, should I be worried?

I've been drinking freshly made chamomile tea and it does feel really good like it's helping but it just hurts to swallow.
