Girls, does she hate me now?

Basically, this SHY girl caught me staring at her last year. Starting this stare-war, kinda.
- I've talked to her like 3 times at most. She's really awkward (no offense) but really pretty. When I've talked to her, I was happy, and trying to make her happy, and most of the time would kinda be holding back. And acting like she didn't give a crap. So I kinda felt like she didn't like me.

This year she has stared at me A LOT. Some days more than others, but she still does. I avoid her stares most days, because I like her too much.

During a school-dance we had (2 weeks ago), I stood with my friends, and she kinda stood (alone) behind, looking at me, when I looked at her, she kinda smoothly-nonchantly looked away, yet later we continued looking at eachother, even her friend would speak into her ear, while looking at me. (Shy girl didn't look up)

The past few days, when she sees me, she would immeditely look down, and avoid looking at me. (Almost similar to me) Even sometimes passing by me, flipping her hair, and walking fast (I've never seen her walk so fast)

It's been a year of this, I feel like I've been ignoring her too much, but I feel like she might hate me now or something? Thoughts?

This is too cute lol she doesn't hate you silly! Like you said she's just very shy and awkward so situations like these are always very uncomfortable for her, and as a result, either she comes off as a way she doesn't want to or she does and acts weirdly, but nonetheless, I strongly believe she likes you. I say this because I'm a lot like her. I've noticed some guys usually look at me and I feel like they might think I'm cute, but none approach me and I feel like it's because I give off that I think I'm too good for them or that I rather be left alone when in reality I'd really appreciate a guy coming up to me. I'm Also going through something with a guy in my class that I kinda like and like the girl you're talking about, I usually jet out of class because I'm too afraid of messing up somehow if he talks to me.

So I'm 99% confident she likes you, and as a girl that is basically the same as her, listen to me when I tell you to PLEASE go up to her and talk to her and go slowly with her, eventually she'll come around and get comfortable around you! Trust me :)

She gives all the signs of a shy/awkward person that likes you- looking down, sneaking looks at you, avoiding eye contact with you, walking fast when around you, acting like she doesn't care. she most likely does all these things because she doesn't know how to act around you since she likes you and is normally awkward. liking you just makes her want to avoid you to prevent herself from making a fool out of herself.

I don't think you've been ignoring her, you've just been reading the signs wrong. She probably doesn't hate you but she might be a little upset/sad that you haven't really tried to get her to trust you and get comfortable with you.

So my suggestion is to try to talk to her again and get close to her because I'm pretty sure she does like you. Hopefully I'm right and everything works out for you :) wish you the best!

I can only tell you what my experience has been. I was in a similar situation and I am a super shy girl. I personally think you should ask her out asap. The point is you like her, so it's up to you to find out if she likes you back. Shy girls are hard to read. What you said up there sounds a lot like me. I don't think she hates you, I think she may be frustrated by what's going on with you two. She doesn't know how you feel and doesn't know what to do.
