Should I put my arm around her?

Me and this girl have been friends for about two years. Not like best friends or anything but just like friends,not too close.

But just about two weeks ago we started sitting next to each other in class. Now she's starting to say I'm her best friend. I think she's really cool and think I actually like her as more than a friend.

And whenever we're both standing next to each other in a group of friends she'll lean her head on my shoulder. I want to know what I should do when she does this. Should I put my arm around her or something or is that going too far?

I also want to know if you think she likes me or not. I'm thinking about asking her out but I don't know if she just likes me as a best friend or if its more than that. And I don't want to ask her out and then find out that she isn't into me and ruin our friendship. What do you think I should do?

Well if she's leaning her head on her should then I don't think she would mind you wrapping your arm around her. She's probably hinting at that. She may very well like you, but I honestly can't tell because I'm not in the situation and analyzing her behavior. I thought it was funny that I came across this question because last night I leaned against this guy's shoulder, and he immediately wrapped his arm around me--just what I was going for ;) I wish you well with this gal!

welll maybe wait a bit to ask her out but she sounds interested but find out for sure. also yeah go ahead and wrap your arm around her its not forward at all because she's the one who put her head on your shoulder.
