If a girl puts her head down when passing each other= not interested?

On a sidewalk If a girl looks at you from a distance and then when you get close puts her head down?

Does this mean she doesn't find me attractive?

This happens to me and the girls look uneasy and stiffen up.

Is this a clear sign to not even try and stay away?

So basically there is no way to know. Either She is 'trying' to avoid me, or she thinks I'm attractive and is nervous. Well at least I know I'm not out of it in these situations. Thanks!

For me, yes.

If I don't know the guy, then where I look doesn't matter. Or if it's a bunch of really loud jocks or something I'm definitely not going to try to look them in the eye. But If it's someone I know that's going to wave/say hi, if I'm comfortable with them, I'll definitely wave back. But if not, I don't want to be seen with you. If I like a guy, I look for him in the halls, I try to meet him. (but then again, I have to know him. If I don't know him- yeah, I don't want him to catch me looking at him.) But I'll usually look back if so. I might try smiling at them if they make eye contact. That'll probably narrow it down.

Not necessarily. In fact, it may indicate the exact opposite. It takes a pretty confident girl to look a guy right in the eye and smile as she goes by. Shy girls tend to avoid making eye contact with guys that they think are out of their league.

I think you can tell in some cases. Try pay a bit more attention to them from a distance.

If she's checking you out from a distance or just looking then you can decide whether it's nervousness/good or the other way.

You're welcome :)! but keep in mind that just because she's beautiful doesn't exclude her from lacking confidence. Lots of people tell me I'm beautiful all the time. My best friend is more beautiful and she isn't as confident.

i like a girl, earlier she used to look away when i used to see her at her eyes, now she looks down. when she is with me, she actually is comfortable with another guy talking to him, but keeps her head down and just nods to my talks and when i ask her some questions, looks at my eyes and answers them and looks away or looks down and again looks back at my eyes
