Guys do care lol... the first impression is a huge deal. People often judge you by your cover.
For ex. in a work environment,
If you dress in a well fitted outfit that looks classy and the colors matches well, its attractive. And most guys would show more respect towards you.
if you wear sweats in an office setting. you will not be seen as professional.
I went on a date with a guy. in his car, we drove through a neighborhood where ladies are bigger and they wear tight very very tight clothes, were stuff were hanging out. my date started to get all ghetto calling them names and acting stupid... the interesting part is, he became a turn off to me. one of the big reason why i didn't continue to date him. now on others peoples eyes, these big women were dressed in ways that are not flattering their figure, so people categorized them as ghetto...
We care how good your body looks in the outfit.
Like skirt to skirt, doesn't matter if they're the same length and butt looks the same.
Same with the shirts. But dresses to skirts to jeans, very little difference if we can visualize everything the same.
So matching earrings and clothes and all that, we could care less.
We also think big purses are dumb
To a certain extent. If the girl either wears something skimpier than usual or wears more than usual, OR something different, like a dress, then I notice. One girl I knew wore a see through shirt in hichschool and I could see her bra easily. It was after spring break and many girls were dressing in such outfits, LOL, so none were sent home.

The actually clothes? Nope. As long as you look alright I don't really give a damn. If we're talking about the jewelry and all that too? Then I for damn sure don't pay attention to that.
I mean I may at first just to give the impression that I'm observant and caring and all that crap but I really don't give a damn.
In a way. I'd rather a girl just wear a t-shirt and some loose fitting pants. When I see them in a low-cut shirt showing off their cleavage, with pants so low their ass hangs out, I instantly think trashy attention whore, and move along.
I really notice what girls wear and how they dress. If the girl dresses nicely it is a turn on. I even know what type of clothes girls wear that turn me on the most. The other thing for me is if a girl smells nice which is also another major turn on.
I do. A finely dresses woman is a lot more easier on the eyes.
if you just wear casual stuff, no. we only recognize, if you got dressed up or if you let yourself go most times.

We absolutely do. Not just in the sense of checking out a girl's body, but when girls dress cute and present themselves well, it's a turn on.
Well, yes, but that doesn't mean you have to pay attention to how you dress. A lot of guys just like casual clothing (Hoodies, yo...)
