You could be over-analyzing it. But at the same time, I assume you're both under 18. She might have low self esteem, and she might be fishing for compliments to feel better about herself. Maybe if you're really into her, tell her how you really feel. Maybe that will lessen the amount of compliments she's looking for. You don't want to want to keep feeding her fishing for compliments if that is what it is. Sit her down, tell her she's beautiful and tell her to stop comparing herself to the girls. Tell her that there is a reason you like hanging out with her. That you do enjoy her company, and she is beautiful.
FYI GUYS THAT ARE READING THIS -- if you're with a girl, and she says, "Do you think that girl is beautiful? " The best response you can give is, "She is definitely beautiful. And you know how much I love beauty," And then turn to her, look her in the eyes, and say, "And that's why I'm with YOU. "
Of course, you have to mean it. Don't use this to try and get in a girls pants. But if you mean it, it's the best way to ward off the question and score MAJOR brownie points.
You are definitely over analyzing. Enjoy her company and don't sweat the small stuff.
As for "That girl is so pretty," there is only /one/ acceptable answer. "She may be pretty but she is not as beautiful and sexy as you" or any other compliment along those lines. :)
And if you also believe that the other girl is well dressed then definitely comment on it as well. Girls notice each other and it is nice to hear that your girl is complimenting them rather than criticizing them, definitely a great trait!
It depends upon whether she is doing it out of sincere admiration for their style/appearance or out of her own insecurities (ahem, fishing for compliments).
I believe the best thing to do would be to agree, mildly (if you do indeed think the lady in question is hot). So a simple, 'she isn't bad.' or 'i suppose so' ought to do it. Also compliment her often. Tell her how much you adore her hair or the she laughs, etc. (it's important to avoid doing this directly after she points out another woman's looks, or it'll seem like a pity compliment.)
Hunn, don't OVER-analyze this, I do it sometimes, just because I feel comfortable with the guy that I can openly say "Ohh, her shoes are hot. " or "Oh her hair looks nice", it can also depend on the girl, she is probably looking from compliments from you! You can say "yeah" with a smile, but to really boost her spirits you could say " Her hair is nice, but its not as nice as yours" =D
You are. I comment on girls all the time. Just compliment her when she makes comments about them. If you like her, maybe she is feeling you out about what type of girls you like.
