I'm a health nut, so I obviously answered yes. I like girls who make an effort to stay in shape (they don't have to be fitness fanatics like me, but get a healthy amount of exercise).
A girl who can stay in shape goes to show that she knows how to take care of herself and is likely able to take care of other things. If a girl (or guy) is grossly overweight, this shows that they are irresponsible with their health and lifestyle; they can't even manage themselves. So it makes you wonder how well they can manage other aspects of their lives.
Anyone NOT caring about their partner's health (and by extent, his or her weight) should pony up and start caring. Even a chub can be unhealthy, depending on lifestyle.
and the fact you're asking this in the first place leads me to believe you're self-contious about your looks and/or lifestyle. Why not instead of asking for validation, start improving your own health? Get healthy AND comfortable in your own skin. Plus, might make it easier to get guys on the hook

Weird question. When it comes to your actually weight no, but if you're too visibly fat then it's unattractive. Guys aren't generally overly fussy about it, a lot of guys don't mind, plenty even like a bit of fluff.
But regarding your situation specifically, just because you though you made it obvious doesn't mean anything. Unless you flat our said something then I wouldn't bet that he knew.
Signals are bullshit, guys filter them out because they are uncertain signs; it's not concrete so why would he take a risk on it? Meaning the guy being signaled it going to actively tune that stuff out, so yeah it's natural everyone else looking on notices first. If you wanted something to happen you should have said something.

Some guys don't care about weight much at all, while some do. Others might not care, but they're afraid what their buddies might think. There's lots of possibilities, especially at your age.
My guess: he more than likely wasn't into you like that, especially if you sent him obvious signals that he never acted on. *Unless* he's a shy/timid dude, in which case you never know.
I think if you are pretty and slightly overweight, it's not a problem. I know this one gorgeous girl that all the guys go for and she is pretty weighty. But that said, the harsh reality, like it is for nice guys, overweight women are up against it and that's why nice guys and overweight females have many friends but no lovers.
Guys are very forgiving on looks, and many guys have absolutely no problem on dating a chubby girl. Make no mistake, it's not like any guy will date you being downright fat. No one would normally want to date an obese person.
I prefer girls who are in shape, slim, or skinny since I keep an eye my weight and try as best as I can to work for it. I do care about weight, so it's a yes for me.
honestly i like a bigger girl, more to love more to hold more to grab on to. im not saying i dont like average or skinny but i have a soft spot for bigger
so you know what... if he cares he doesn't deserve you. but also guys are dense maybe he really doesn't get it
sometimes guys are like "nah there's no way she likes me" when you're good friends. also sometimes they dont want to risk anything

Usually it's not the weight, it's the fat percentage and how it's carried. Some girls look better with extra fat than they would look at what's considered "normal" for their height. But that's mostly genetic
depends tho its not just about weight its like if you are kinda big but also curvy thats awesome if its just all fat tho then its a bit of a problem
Hard to say without knowing the guy but I don't think it would be the main issue if he did or didn't like you.
