Thoughts on proximity with guys?

What are signs that a guy likes you if you are in close proximity with them. Currently, I am in gr9 and we have this dance unit that we do with the guys, however, there is this guy who I think likes me, and when we dance together (square dancing) and (circle dancing) we are very close in proximity, but I can't look at him in the eye, so what would be some body languages signs?

Stand a little closer to him than normal, hold hands with a firm grip, look up at him through your lashes, face him even if you can't look into his eyes. Also you can try leaning your torso forward, playing with your hair (although maybe not if you're dancing- you can try tossing it).

Best idea is eye contact bc he's not just going to stare back at you forever, and smile when you do connect gazes. What you think is being obvious probably isn't, if you want him to like you back he should get the vibe that you're into him, so don't be discreet!
