No. There is not set time limit on those types of things. The most important thing is to meet a guy who will like actually love you for who you are and not because whether you are or aren't a virgin.
There's different cultures out there that put so much importance to that. That's fine and whatever, but then there is like a double standard as well. Some guys prefer it, some guys are more understanding, and some guys are like whatever.
I mean, there's a lot of people out there who aren't and maybe they made a mistake or maybe they'll always remember; I guess it just depends on the person, like it should be something special but some people don't put much importance to it.
Those people who are surprised obviously have had experience.and personally I didn't do anything in highschool just because I thought the majority of guys are immature ;)
Honestly I didn't have my first real kiss until the end of my sophomore year and I was a virgin when I met my husband. I don't think it's a negative surprise, but more of today's young people are just so careless that's hard to come by.
No it far more common then you might think. I guess people just assume that buy 16 every one has lost there virginity and don’t want to seen different. If you get a group of guys together and they start talking about sex some will be loud and some will fade in to the back ground because they don’t want to admit they are virgins. Sadly sex is seen as some sort of an achievement or a badge of honor. When they get older they will see that losing your virginity at an early age or latter in your life is not that important in the big scheme of things. It better to lose it to the right guy when your ready. it's your life and your body so do what you feel is right. how care what the rest think. hope this is of use.
Not that odd, actually it makes you a keeper, later on when you do start dating. Its not odd or a bad thing, I was almost 19 and I was a catch (no I am not conceited, I was told). Be proud and don't change for anyone except yourself.
