Girl keeps postponing first "date"?

I have asked a girl that I am interested in, if she would like to go for coffee with me. She is always quite busy with stuff so I have been giving her the ability to pick when we will go. It has been almost 6 weeks now and she has postponed 5 times. From her messages it sound like she really does want to go out for coffee with me, but is too busy. When she suggests a date I have always said that I am free that day. So my question is, is she interested in me, trying to find out how much I am interested in her by making me wait? Or is she not interested in me, putting me off till I lose interest in her?

So we finally had coffee yesterday, she told me just how busy she has been. As we got up to leave, she, suggested that we have coffee again. I began saying that since she had the busier schedule, that she should let me know when she would like to go again. But she interrupted me saying that it was the season, and that she would be less busy in the future.

So I guess my optimism was not unfounded. But thanks for your input.

Has happened to me too a few times. My guess is you won't hear from her again. I'm sorry. Girls are sometimes really good at acting like they are being nice and sweet only to be really not interested. Yet they are too afraid to end it. If you try any harder without waiting it out, she will most likely begin ignoring you or call you something like a creeper. No judgements here, but I'm speaking from experience. Don't wait, but surely cut contact. You can quietly wait a week or so and see what she does just out of curiosity, but I'd move on. Best of luck.

Wow, ignore this prude. Seriously, she's playing a game with you thinking it's cute to mess with your emotions.

Best thing you can do is tell her, "You know something I don't think I'll be able to find time to go out with you, you must be very busy and I respect that. enjoy the rest of your life. if you're not busy and you want to be with me, come find me I'll be around."

That leaves it up to her to come to you, and it doesn't leave you saying anything truly negative to her. It also tells her you're no longer going to play the game.
