Green tea is one of my favourite beverage ever! 💙 Also, I prefer my chocolates, biscuits fillings, cakes, macarons etc to be of green tea flavour. Which is why it lead to my nickname - "matcha" (Matcha is actually a kind of tea also ahah 🙈🙉🙊).
Anyways, back to the topic. Here are a few benefits of green tea that have been confirmed in human research studies.
1. It helps weight loss
Green tea increases fat burning and improves physical performance. Besides, green tea has been shown to increase fat burning and boost the metabolic rate. However, the effect depends on the individual as well.
2. It prevents cancer
It is well known that oxidative damage contributes to the development of cancer and that antioxidants can have a protective effect. Green tea is an excellent source of powerful antioxidants, so it makes perfect sense that it could reduce your risk of cancer.
3. It can improve health
Green tea is definitely more than just green liquid. It contains various bioactive compounds that can improve one's health. And it also has small amounts of minerals that are important for health.
