Should I go to the emergency room?

my achilles tendon feels strained, feels like its creaking, never felt something like that before. i do a lot of walking for work and today it hurt to walk. i iced it as it was swollen but doing some research and thinking of going to emerg, because apparently it could rupture. i have to be able to work this week, very important week for me

so have some tendonitis in my tendon. doc says it should be fine. i live in canada, no worries there (yippee...:P)

YES YES YES, but not the ER go to the doctor or the closest urgent care. ER is excessive and my guess is more expensive. I'm not even 18 and I've seen plenty of times where people put it off and then had disaster strike when they just hit their foot wrong and end up in terrible pain!

Well, this is what you need to consider, if your tendon blows out and you can't walk for weeks, how will that affect your career?

Go to the Hospital, your health is important. Hope you're not in the states though.
