Severely concerned about my current period! HELP!?

Okay, so three days ago I got my period. It is now 10:30 p. m. and I'm almost already in my fourth day. Usually, the first day of my period is heavy then by the third of fourth day it is completely gone or very very light. It is still VERY heavy and I am having to change my tampon and pad every 30 minutes (sorry for details). And I'm having cramps that are so painful they're almost crippling. The thing that is concerning me most though is the clotting. I almost never have any clotting whatsoever during my periods. But, today and yesterday i am having very big very solid clots and they are coming out VERY frequently. I would call my doctor but Thanksgiving is tomorrow and it is already 10:30 at night. I don't know whether to consider this an emergency or not.. I'm really concerned. Please help if you think you know what could be going on. Thanks!

How old are you and how long have you been having it?
Because irregularity isn't anything to be too worried about unless you're suffering blood loss symptoms or anything.
Mine used to fluctuate like that and I had horrendous cramps..
I'd say take some midol, get a heat pack, and suffer it out:/
Maybe think about getting on the pill? It fixed mine

Oops. I forgot to add that I am currently on the pill and i didn't know if that had anything to do with it. I don't feel sick or anything but I just don't know what's going on, haha. And I am 16 years old and have been having it since my first day, so about 4 days it has been going on.

I mean.. How many years have you been cycling?
But you're on the pill? What kind? It may have something to do with it. The more progesterone pills seem to have those issues more..

I have been cycling since i was 14 and I am on Sprintec so i think i will just wait it out and see what happens and if next cycle is still bad, I will make an appointment with my doctor.

Hmm yeah I'd think it wouldn't be as weird by now then..
But yeah, don't panic yet.. But do make. an appointment if it doesn't get better for sure

It's normal, my ex used to have like golf ball sized clots and heavy bleeding normally. It's nothing to worry about, it's abnormal for you but not abnormal in general, it's just a bad period, you'll live.
