Hypothetically, it shouldn't be that hard for you to lose weight if you eat healthy and exercise. However, genetically like you said it may be harder to lose weight in those areas and it may be harder if most of your family follows a similar eating pattern that has been passed down. I would suggest just eating healthy and exercising to be your best and healthiest version of yourself, and if you lose weight that's great but if you don't you will still be healthy!

Personally I don't know how hard it will be for you too loose weight. If thickness runs in the family then it might be a challenge but I will say that I've seen thicker girls who lift weights and exerise regularly and they look stunning. You can get a nice fit body while still being thicker. Lift, run, eat healthy and your body will tone up. Main thing to focus on would be your diet and then focus on a good workout regime.
