What are the reasons why you don't always or never cook at home?

Question

I love cooking but I dislike doing all the prep work and cleaning the dishes and utensils after.

What are the reasons why you don't like to cook at home but WOULD if someone helped you with any of 1-7 reasons? What are your excuses?

1) Dislike Grocery shopping
- Would you cook if all the right ingredients were delivered to my house?

2) Dislike doing prep work (washing, cutting, dicing the ingredients)
- Would you cook if all of the FRESH FOOD ingredients were already prepared/prepackaged?

3) You suck at cooking
- Would you cook if you had easy to follow recipes+video of someone showing you how its done?

4) Cooking takes a lot of time
- Would you cook if somebody helped you with the cooking process and shortened it?

5) You are lazy or you like to be serviced ready to eat food
- Would you cook if the cooking process was shortened or made easier?

6) You don't like cooking just for yourself 
- Would cook if it was more than 1 person, a big party or a special ocassion?

7) You dislike cleaning after yourself (washing utensils and dishes after you are done etc)
- Would you cook if someone washed the dishes, utensils for you?

I attended culinary school , so I can cook, but I ate doing the dishes, I remember one time, as we were paired in our cooking area , I told my partner , go do the dishes, I'll make your pie crust , he jump on the offer and it was a big hit.
Skills are important , as you are not afraid to poison guests :-) You need time , cooking is fun if you don't have to rush, Iron Chef is not visited by some of the greatest chef in the world because to them it goes against the nature of Gourmet Cuisine. One choice - eating by yourself , that one I agree , its not fun, so there is little motivation to cook and enjoy it.

I cook basic stuff at home, like putting things in the oven and that's it, I don't have to do any work. I love cooking, but I have three roommates, and the kitchen is small, so I have no space to be cooking a lot of what I'd like to cook.
But when I get my own place, I will definitely try to cook more at home, more elaborate and complex meals.

I am clumsy in the kitchen and I can't cook.

I would like to cook but it gets so hot and tales super long. (The meals that we cook.)

I get bored standing there too.

I do have some recipes written down. I even have videos but it still doesn't turn out right.
Oh and I can't cut meat/wash/clean/cook and then eat it.
It makes me want to throw up.

If that was fixed, then yes I would cook.

I always cook at home. I'm good at cooking -- meaning, I cook my food at lightning speeds and with much less effort than probably anyone else would have taken for making that dish, and still the dishes come out tasty enough (sometimes even better than how my mom makes). It's not at all stressful for me. Sometimes I make food for 3-4 days and store them in refrigerator. I also always break the rules and recipes, use whatever crazy ingredients I feel like (if some ingredient is missing) etc. Anyway, it's usually less time for me to cook and eat than to go out to a restaurant and eat.

#4 and #6 combined. Sure, If I had the time I would do it. But after 8 hours of work and 2 to 4 hours of "moonlighting"? I'm beat and I just make a sandwich and some fruit or veggies and then turn in... making a bunch of dishes to wash is also a pain...

Though I love cooking my schedule doesn't allow me to cook that often, as a result I am eating at restaurants at least 5x per week for dinner. Lunch will always be out , breakfast I typically grab a bite as I run out of my house in the morning

I feel for most people, it is the time requirement to prep, cook and clean afterwards. After a 8-10 hour workday, it is tempting to say "fuck it" and just go through a drive through.

I have 2 jobs and sometimes work 10 hr days not including commute. I would cook everyday if I had the time
