Honestly, I had always been shy about certain things around doctors until I actually started medical school, and then I realized, they're not there to judge you... their job is to help your health. Any and all details you open up with is going to help you. They've seen all kinds of problems and bodies and are the best people to help you get back to normal.
Does your mother or do your sisters have irregular periods? Some women just have it in their families, but it is important to rule out any medical issues... because they can be treated. Have you always had menstrual cramping? Do you notice any other changes in your body since the past year such as thick facial hair, hair loss on the scalp, or acne? Have you been depressed? How has your weight fluctuated in the past year if at all? Any and all other details you can think of can be helpful.
It's okay to be shy, but be open about it with your doctor.
My roommate and her sister have this issue as well. My roommate doesn't wasn't found to have any diagnosis, but her sister was diagnosed with PCOS... she just has to take meds for it and has extra body hair to deal with but it's manageable not life threatening.

Don't worry. Every girl is different. I had a friend in high school who was really physically active, and she only had 3-4 periods a year. If it's really worrying you, you could see a gynecologist or doctor for reassurance. But it's not something to be super concerned about.
Probably should see a doctor, are you anorexic? Not eating much and low iron would cause that but there could be other issues at hand so I would suggest seeing a doctor about that
Of course see a doctor. This is the reason we have them. Anything here is going to be armchair medical advice.

I'm the same way. I haven't had mine since May and I'm not pregnant either. Plus I'm usually irregular too... but four months is too long not to have my period. The doctor I went to said I'm low on hormones but still need to get looked at.
