Do you have any lumps or bumps on your body? Is it normal?

hey guys about a month ago I noticed a lump on my thigh, I went to the doctor to get it checked out and after a Doppler ultrasound and biopsy of that lump it came out as a lipoma (harmless fat accumulation) but since then I've noticed several more of the lumps; on my lower arm, on my wrist, and on my hip... Now do I have to get an ultrasound and biopsy of all the sites or shall I assume that they too are lipomas based on the fact that the one in the thigh was also the same? I'm really afraid that I might have liposarcoma (a type of cancer).

Can you guys share with me any lumps or bumps you have on your body? How does it feel and what is the size of it? Whether it's growing or not... thanks

This is the kind of question that only a doctor can answer reliably. I'd have as many of those lumps checked out as your doctor recommends.

I could tell you some (positive) anecdotal things about similar issues but I really think this is a discussion for you and a professional.

Sorry you're going through this. For what it's worth, if you were family to me, I'd tell you, quite honestly, that I have no doubt everything's going to work out fine and that you have nothing to worry about. But it's still important to have them checked out. :) Good luck!

Thanks a lot for your concern, you see I live in India and the cost of medical care here is quite high, It cost me 2 months salary just to go to a doctor and get the tests done. I'm monitoring them weekly and if they cross a certain threshold 2cm, then I'll go to the doctor. Thanks :-)

Okay. I understand better now. I think monitoring them is a good idea in that situation. I also believe it's unlikely that they could be something dangerous. Good luck and I'll be sending you positive energy from the USA. :)

I know a guy who had a fat accumulation lump on his forehead. It looked a bit funny, like a horn trying to break out. He went and cut it out, didn't have any problems.
So yes, by all means do what the doctors say, it is not a biggie, I think they do it under local anesthesia.

I have small lumps around my jaw. The doctor said it was a mixture of hormones and an immune response. He said they should go away, that was in 5th grade.
