Help!! Stay at home mom and I want to lose weight. Any advice?
Thanks
I've tried every diet there is and honestly, the easiest one is a high carb, low fat vegan diet. It's so easy to maintain because you don't have to restrict calories or control your portions. I always eat 2000+ calories a day and eat until I'm satisfied at every single meal and I've lost 20+ pounds without even working out. I read The McDougall Program for Maximum Weight Loss by Dr. John McDougall and it is absolutely amazing. How Not To Die by Dr. Michael Greger is a great read as well.
I've recently got into cycling as well, and I can picture that being something you could get into if you buy this little baby carts that go in the back of the bike. My cousin lost a lot of weight that way after she gave birth and riding in the back of the bike put her baby to sleep super easily lol. If that's not an option though, YouTube videos are absolutely amazing. Look up cardio circuits, fitness tutorials, anything you need really.
You can go jogging with him in the stroller. You can do various home exercises while he naps.
start slow and do what you used to do but when you can.
the one thing you can control 100% of the time is your diet, prep your meals ahead of time so you don't have to resort to fast food and exercise when you have spare time. if you can't exercise by yourself, do some kind of strenuous activity at home while watching your kid.
Eating healthy is easy it's the workout part that's not
losing weight is 80% diet and 20% workout, so since you have a big responsibility, it's not so bad. if you can't get a gym session in, don't worry about it, you have a 10 month child now, your priorities have changed. what you can do though, is continue with healthy eating habits and being active throughout the day. it does make a difference.
