I've always heard that protein was good. If you do a lot of cardio, maybe a banana or another fruit. When I work out, I normally just drink water and maybe have a protein bar or a banana. It's supposed to help with the muscle cramps.
And no, you don't have to work off your snack calories as well. You should choose a deficit such as 500 calories and only consume 1500ish. If you don't take in enough and then work out too much, you can cause fluid and electrolyte problems in the future that will lead to other complications. The best way to do it is to cut back around 500 or less and then workout for about 30-45 minutes at least three times a week.
When I really focus on my health, I will eat around 1800 calories and then workout for an hour to an hour and a half from both cardio and beachbody programs. But if I feel hungry or nauseous, I am not going to deprive myself of the nutrients. You can actually cut back on a lot of the calories just through choosing healthier food items. Cut back on breads, sweets, etc. You can actually make icecream from frozen fruits and put them in a food processor. It's a tasty treat that makes eating healthy so much fun! The key to sticking with it is going to be making it fun and rewarding yourself. Pay attention to how your body changes over a few weeks rather than just what the scale says. I lost 25lbs in about two months earlier this year. It takes hard work, dedication and self-discipline to make it happen, but you can do it! Follow fitness pages on instagram/facebook/etc. and surround yourself by others on the same mission that you are on, and that too will help keep you motivated! Good luck on your journey! I believe in you! :)

Almonds because they are packed with protein. But you have to make sure they aren't salted and don't have any added flavors.
I always eat a mix of unsalted almonds with blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries. Yummy! I personally eat Back To Nature almonds.

I get mine at the local grocery store.
Anything protein. So like Greek yogurt, a protein bar/shake, cashews. When trying to lose weight you want to stay away from carbs (that doesn't mean don't eat them at all, just in moderation). This is especially true as it gets later and later in the day. Your breakfast is where the majority of your carbs should come from. You want around 40% of your calories to come from carbs, 30% from protein, and 30% from good fats.
i don't snack. i take a protein shake, clean up. and then i cook food.
a snack should be something healthy and something your body needs at the time. what exactly are you doing for your workouts

I am a gymnast and I train for 4 hours every Saturday morning from 9. My gym is an hour away so I eat at about 7 (breakfast: a bowl of cereal and maybe a slice of toast with marmite on) then in the car on the way to gym I have a bag of dried mango (amazing!) Half way through the session I eat some nuts (but not many) then afterwards I have a banana, a marmite roll, a cereal bar and the rest of my nuts - this may sound a lot but it counts for my lunch as well! Hope this has helped! X
Fruit that are low in sugar, and vegetables. You could also drink a protein shake.
Stick to protein. Protein shake to be exact. After you take the protein shake, wait a little bit, then have a real meal. The meal you eat should be clean and full of protein. I. e: chicken, fish, etc
