ooooouh, good question!
kay, so I've had braces twice. My teeth weren't bad, my orthodontist was.
The first time I was grade four, I hated it sooo much, I was the absolute only person who had the railroad tracks on my teeth, and I hated it sooo much. aloooooot,
and then in grade seven, I got them again. That time, I wasn't too worried because everyone had them, and it was starting to be 'the thing'. It was cooler than having uggs, or leggings with skirts. People without them were 'bracist'.
i've had a few boyfriends who had them, and we only encountered the whole, 'locking' thing once or twice, and its because of springs, or elastics. But it was funny, good times, I promise.
i don't think that theyve ever cared. As long as I didn't have the headset gear thing that wrapped around my head, I was fine. Everyone has braces. hell, boys can have braces! its common!
if a guy doesn't want to be with you because of braces, he's not worth a fraction of a milisecond. He should know that eventually, they will come of and you will look spectacular.
theyre common, so they shouldnt be an issue. =]
ps. I have a retainer, and when I wear it, I have a lithsp. that's embaraassing.

I know I'm a girl, but as a girl who likes other girls, I have to say that braces make a girl incrediby cute. *swoon*
it shouldnt matter, at least your teeth will look amazing after !
The first girl I ever had a crush on had braces. Of course...the crush started before she got the braces, but it's not really a big deal since a lot of people get braces at some point...
It doesn't even really have the same social stigma that wearing glasses has. I used to hate wearing glasses because it definitely makes you look nerdier, but I've seen all kinds of people wear braces.
From my perspective as a guy, small imperfections like braces are not at all a turn-off on an otherwise attractive girl. Just make sure you don't become so self-conscious that you stop smiling. It's far better to smile with braces than to not smile!
And if they really bother you, you can always get invisiline...but really, don't sweat it!
They're not that big a deal, particularly in the teenage years. A lot of us have them at your age. I had them from 14 years old to 16. I've gotten a lot of complements since then about how nice my smile is, or more specifically, how straight my teeth are. In the long run it was definitely worth the insecurity I had about having braces at the time.

To be honest with you braces are not a turn off. I think braces are a turn on for me. like it looks hot and plus your teeth are straight as a arrow.
braces are temporary...straight teeth are a good investment
