Put simply, it's always helpful to have someone to talk to about your pains. I think this could really help you if you don't have many people you trust. The first step is getting it all out with someone who will listen, and I think a therapist would be perfect for that.
Just remember you're going to be fine, and the reason I know this is because you're already taken the first step by posting on this site. You want to get better, and you will!

I have been in therapy on and off for most of my life and I have always found it to be immensely helpful. I have open and honest relationships with my parents and friends but sometimes its nice to hear from someone else. Its always nice to hear from someone who isn't personally involved in your situation. I think then you get the most unbiased advice. I say give it try. I guarantee you it will help you out.
