I floss, sometimes. Not everyday, because it would consume a good proportion of my life as I have very compact teeth! Probably once or twice a week, it really does get a lot of the crap out that a toothbrush misses. I went to the dentist t'other day, and I have no cavities, never had one. This is despite being 25 and a chocoholic! I'm British, and have a healthy teeth and guns, can you believe it! More people should care about the health of their mouths. You notice a lot of crap between peoples' teeth, and inflamed gums.
I've been to the dentist quite a lot recently (for work on a crown for a broken tooth (a guy bumped me from behind playing street hockey and I fell face first onto pavement)) and for a couple check ups and I have not had a single cavity in my life. And as a kid I practically never even brushed my teeth. I do brush now but I still never floss. I don't quite understand but I don't question it either, I think it might be that I only ever drank milk/water instead of soda as a kid.
Straight teeth are easier to clean but the reason you have cavities because there is food between your teeth and since the toothbrush can't get between you teeth cavities start. It takes a long time to get a cavity. I haven't gotten a root canal because I try to floss as much as possible but I lose the dental floss box so easily so I don't all the time.
Even when I did take perfect care of my teeth, I still got cavities. Shitty teeth genetics I suppose.
So now I don't even bother. Makes my life so much easier, especially since I have this godforsaken permanent retainer in my mouth that makes flossing the definition of hell.

lol. My dentist said her son never flosses, but he doesn't get cavities, when another dentist said I should floss. He then told her shh, secretly. That some people are lucky or it might be a genetic thing. Anyway, I floss once in a while. XD
My teeth are the same way, AND I have seen the dentist recently. Two weeks ago to the day. XD I'm blessed I guess, that's all that I know, thank goddess for that ((:
I have really good teeth... kind of runs in my family so I guess I hit good genes ;) I don't floss daily but kind of like every 2-3day. When you get used to it you are done with it in no-time!

I can't floss. It takes wayyyy to long with braces. I just use my water pik which is actually better than flossing.
