How many fillings do you have?

i have them in just about every tooth. I went for one today and as I was getting one filled my dentist said I had yet another cavity right next to this one! my teeth are so terrible. I brush floss twice a day but it doesn't matter :( I still have all my teeth though but I've probably had well over 2000$ worth of work done

If you really brush and floss every day, then that's obviously not the problem. You are probably eating a diet high in anti nutrients and acids that are leaching the minerals out of your teeth.

And are the compost fillings, sure hope they're not metal ones... If they are, switch dentists for sure because any dentist who still believes in using mercury fillings is full is either ignorant or just in it for the money.

i drink a lot of juice? all my fillings are the whitish colored ones. iam going to try to cut out as much sugar as I can out of my diet. there's so much sugar in food these days its ridiculous. at least swish my mouth with water after

It's not the sugar ON your teeth. it's the sugar IN your body. When you have high amounts of sugar in your blood, calcium get's pulled out of your bones to neutralize it. Same with acids. Rinsing your teeth isn't going to help, just like brushing isn't working.

my diet is alright though, iam not a sugar candy addict or anything, iam healthy, not over weight. I ve read that some people have lower ph levels and it effects the teeth in a negative way. could be what I got :(

Ask your dentist why you are having so many fillings. The tooth is complex and needs certain minerals to stay strong and resist decay. Fluoride is one that you can add by getting a fluoride toothpaste. HOW you brush and floss can make a big difference. The dentist can tell by the strength of your gums and by pits between your teeth how effective your habits are. Look to him for guidance about your teeth and gums.

I've had 2 too and brush after every meal, my teeth are terrible too. I'm not sure how much it cost as insurance paid for it

ya that is a lot, maybe you should consider changing your dentist. Teeth are mostly genetic though, mine aren't as white as I wish they were either, but not much I can do

Age on profile is correct, and yes, really, Its true. Though I'm due back to the dentist in about 3 weeks for routine check up, but I don't have any teeth issues, just routine exam and cleaning.

That and probably genetic. My mother didn't have any cavities her entire life either. She was in her upper 50's when she passed.
