Don't expect to lose weight fast and easy, cause its not fast or easy. I was 225 lbs and dropped to 180 in about 4 months, which I think is alright. My main things were regular exercise which for me was MMA training, but other activities are just as good, and just not eating snacks between meals and definately NOT eating after dinner. Also drink water all throughout the day it keeps you full and is the healthiest thing you can put in your body.

There is no such thing as a miracle diet. To see results you need to make sacrifices and put in hard work.
A diet won't do much on it's own. You'll need to combine that with cardiovascular exercise I you want to get anywhere.
I think what's best is a lifestyle change.Incorporating 6 Small meals through out the day with plenty of veggies and fruits.Low carbs,high protein,tons of water,low sodium,low sugar,cut back on the processed foods.Incorporate REAL exercise (breaking a sweat) into your day to day rountine. It's the only way.Youve got to work for what you want.There is NO easy way trust me.
Before you eat anything drink a glass of water. It helps fill your stomach which keeps you from over eating but doesn't prohibit you from eating foods you enjoy.

There's this diet that has been known to work very effectively, You don't eat anything solid or drink anything liquid until you reach your ideal weight.
