Ali VS Tyson - who would you pick?

the dream fight of all time, Muhammad Ali Vs Mike Tyson - both fighters in their prime in a 12 round fight, who would you pick and why. My pick - Ali with a 6 round KO, Ali could use has a reach advantage and knows how to use his jab to measure tyson and keep him from getting inside and throwing his hard hooks and uppercuts, ali is also better conditioned and we all know he can go the distance, he is a more intelligent fighter and has better footwork and head movement and certainly a better chin, he also has the intangible qualities that tyson doesn't posses like the ability to recover quick and the ability to make a tough decision in a dark place. Now lets hear what you guys have to say.

Ali. I think George Foreman's fighting skills were similar to Tyson, and he was beaten by Ali so that MIGHT suggest Ali could clean the floor with Tyson.. Plus, I don't know if Tyson could move fast enough to get Ali, and even if he did, Ali takes punches like a tow truck. But I'd say Tyson could possibly hang around for a while, maybe 8th round before KOd.. I'm biased though. To me, Ali is invincible.

Foreman was a lot like tyson and he was waaaay bigger, I think foreman could knock Tyson the f*** out, I mean he knocked Frazier out in 2 rounds, but Frazier was basically blind in 1 eye at the time

yeah, but it would be damn near impossible to beat a 24 YO Foreman with one eye, that's why he got KOd, but Frazier imo is the 2nd best heavyweight to ever fight, next to Ali of course

Tyson is too much of a beast for ali to handle. Even though Ali might be a more skilled boxer there is not way that he could take Tyson out. You could give Ali a sledgehammer and he still couldn't knock Tyson out.

When you watch Ali fight you knew that you were going to see some excellent boxing. When you saw Tyson fight you knew you were going to see someone get victimized on live television.

Well, I can see why you would call Tyson a beast, he fought like one that's for sure, but he was fighting bums (for lack of a better word) most of the time, except for Lennox Lewis who knocked him out, he also ducked David Tua. Ali fought in the greatest era of heavyweight boxing. Jones Jr. was a good fighter but he was a middleweight/light heavyweight so he would be giving up a lot of size. Just my opinion, thanks for the comment though.

couldnt agree more, I think Frazier V Tyson would be a better one, but I doubt as many people know about Smokin Joe on here, I would still take Frazier, it would be a f***ing slugfest though

A true perfectionist of the sweet science (along with Sugar Ray Robinson). Tyson could box but sorda fell into that boxer/brawler hybrid style, more brutish, and that would equal more opportunities for counter punching.
