Should I go to the doctor for this?

i know this is going to sound really really stupid. but just hear me out. I was racing my 9yr old sister to an elevator yesterday. I was trying to stop her from pressing the button. because I wanted to push it(mainly just to p*ss her off ) anyways we both ran in there super quick and ended up falling. I hit my head on one of the walls of the elevator. it hurt for a little bit. but nothing to be overly worried about. I actually forgot it even happened.

but today a spot behind my ear on my head hurts when you touch it. the spot is like between the top of the pointiest part of my ear and the beginning of my ear lobe. I was trying to tell if it felt larger than the other side but its sort of hard to tell. but I do think I have a small bump. and I have had a headache all day.

i guess the headache could be the result of being tired or a little bit of stress or the combo of all three things. I Haven't had a chance to tell my mom yet. it didn't hurt yesterday when I saw her so I forgot. and I Haven't seen her since I left for school this morning and she isn't coming home till late. I will tell her in the morning. but should I be worried about this?

The best thing to do is just call you doctor and ASK him or her if you should come in. They are not going to do an MRI on your brain most likely because you just hit you head on the wall, had you been in a car accident or something I think it would be advised to go in and get checked and maybe even get an MRI if the doc recommends it.

Your brain got shaken up pretty bad when you hit your head, it's normal for your head to hurt. If you feel any unusual symptoms don't be afraid to tell you mom or see a doc.

**If you want to hit the button first the best thing to do is slide in front of your sister to block her from reaching it, then push the button, don't just run into the wall :/

Yesterday you hit your head. Today your head hurts. Why would you go to a doctor? If it still hurts a week from now, by all mean have it looked into, but seriously, why are so worried?

I hate to turn this into a rant, but this is why universal health care is retarded. I don't want to have to pay money so other people can go to the doctor over stupid stuff like this.

I hit my head just on my eyebrow a few years ago, and had similar pain and and some bruising, and I went to my doctor. Apparently all I did was damage a nerve (it was numb for a while). Head injuries are tricky -- it's always better to get checked out by a doctor, just in case.

The headache seems like just concussion but the lump behind your ear sounds like a swollen lymph nodule they are just little lumps that come up when your immune is fighting nasties. If the headache continues for more than a few days see a doctor and definatley not WebMB
