well if your acne is hormonal it probably would work but considering you are 19 and you's had acne since you were 15 I THINK we can rule out hormones.
i started getting spots when I was about 9 and it was definitely hormonal but I did not go on birthcontrol (I honestly didn't even know about this at that time) I know how you feel. I'm 16 now and it has gotten so much better. now I only get a blackheads here and there. but I take a lot of supplements. to possible help you out I'm going to give you my stuff that I do.
i take apple cider vinegar tablet
i take burdock root capsules (for inflammation, because that's what causes my acne in addition to hormones)
i take women's supplements (in case some other deficiency causes pimples)
i use african black soap as my cleanser
i use which hazel to tone
i make sure to drink at least a liter or 2 of water every day
i use bentonite clay masks
i use tea tree oil on any white heads or red pimples that may come up
i use to use the naturailia face wash and skin cream but I just sort of got tired of buying it because it's 12 USD.
one thing I have not used but helped my aunt. we have similar skin types. once I went with her to get a free micro-dermabrasion. about a week after, her skin looked flawless. she's going to turn 39 this year and people kept stopping her in the street mistaking her for 21 and thinking I was her younger sister.
hope I helped you some
side note: you must have been to some lazy derms because I've been to one in my area and he's great. my fave med that I was on was either benzaclin or epiduo (the one that he being to wildly advertised now'adays. I'm not on med anymore though. also for your type of acne because it doesn't sound cystic, I wouldn't advise you taking accutane. good choice. that is some serious shiz.

I am 21 and I still have acne. I also wento to dertamologist and they milked a lot of money out of me for no f***ing reason. I didn't get better and thy are just after money, not helping you with your skin. Go and see your doctor. That's the best thing I have done in my life. All those sh*tty creams or whatever won't do shiz for you trust me. I guess you know that yourself by now.
Anyway. GO AND SEE YOUR DOCTOR.
You will probably get "tetralysal 300 mg".. You will take one kapsel in the morning and one at night. You will do that for six months, but I started noticing my face being clearly better within the first week. I am not trying to sell anything here so why would I lie. This is true! I wouldn't belive me either if I were you but you have to trust me, if not me talk to your doctor and aee how its gonna change your life.
Also I suggest you washing your face EVERY morning and every night before going to sleep. (make up removal etc etc. remember also putting on daycream every morning after you have washed your face, and before putting on your makeup. At night; wash your face and put the night cream on. Its very simple, uou won't need any creams or any bullcrap like that. Take that pill your doctor is gonna give you, day cream, nightcram and the washing. That's all you need foe a beutiful skin. notjing more nothing less. I am talking from experience so I know what I'm talking about here. hHope I helped :) Remember also that no one actually focus much on your spimples, its just that your thinking about it too much. its only in your head, people don't really notice/focus on them:)
I don't know what kind of derms you saw, but I can assure you, having been in healthcare, that acne is treatable. I would stay far away though from Accutane. There are many good meds out there including Duac, Differin, EpiDuo, etc. If these don't work, most dermatologists can give you a combination treatment of 2 meds or 1 med plus in-office laser treatment.
During your period, it's quite likely that the acne can become more acute. This is not unnormal at all. (I also believe that some birth control pills do help control acne by the way.) Go to your primary doctor or gynecologist and tell him/her that the derms you have seen are not taking care of the problem and you need a referral to a top-notch dermatologist.
One thing is certain: if you take Accutane (sold in Europe under the brand name Rhoacutane) , you HAVE to take birth control.Even if your parents do not like it: (the use of) Accutane has been associated with serious birth defects.
I heard that with some girls birth control indeed helped their acne.

ACUTANE! Seriously... helped me like crazy! the only side effects I experienced in my 6 months of taking it was really chapped lips and dry skin on my face. ACUTANE makes your skin get worse-only because it is taking all of the crap pimples deep down into your skin and bringing them to the surface. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE try ACUTANE... honestly, it does miracles. The only people that talk bad about ACUTANE are those who have never tried it. They don't know what they are talking about. The only thing you really need to be worried about is "dont get pregnant!". If you wanna talk some more about this then just ask me ... honestly, its the BEST thing out there.
I had the same problem as you when I was younger, I went to a couple dermatologists and been through numerous treatments.. I was prescribed Claritin for about a year (basically the same as Accutane), and didn't see many results and plus the side-effects are worry some so I stopped taking it, after talking to my doctor.
My family doctor just ended up prescribing me Tri-Cyclen.. birth control, I've been on it for a couple years now (wasn't sexually active when I first started taking it) and my skin is 100% better and love it (: but I do get the occasional pimple.
With taking this I also only get my period every 3 months, which is a plus. It's up to you though, what's best for yourself and what your most comfortable with taking. Talk to your doctor.Have you ever used Clarisonic? That thing is AMAZING. They have it in sephora but you can get it for 20% off. I'll send you a link to that if you are interested. You'll find that everyone who has used a Clarisonic swears by it. It is on the pricier side but well worth it. And maybe look into using satin pillow cases.
Oh, I also found that changing your diet goes a long way. Dairy products make me break out. Maybe that might be the case for you?u hve to use something with a lot of benzyl peroxide for the pimplez. I use that. and what the marks that remainz I use spectro. it helpz I think. if you go to dr.Ozz website you will see stuff there that I promise will help you :) and also what helpz me if one popz up when I'm on my period is teabag. just press in againist it and it will help. that treatment for me is almost miracleous lol again try: www.dr.ozz.com
accutane hs lso been linked with intestional/stomach issues in which resulted in surgery and lawsuit clamis so personally I wouldn't take it. try 1 teaspoon of baking soda and mix with 1 tablespoon of water. mix around and place on your face and rub slowly. leave on for a few minutes and wash off. helps to remove scars too. do this twice daily. also drink a lot of water and eat healthy. no red meats, alcohol, sweets or fatty foods.
I don't think if 4 dermatologist couldn't help you , people of GAG can help you ? ( of course I could be wrong , but those 4 people studied this specific field... )
I took Accutane and everything was and is fine.
Those 6 months have led me to clearer skin.
Try birth control and if that doesn't work Accutane may be the only thing to work.have you tried birth control pills? some of them treat acne.
been to 4 different dermatologists but none of them could really help?
Then don't expect lay people here to be able to help.Panoxyl works amazingly, you can buy it at walgreens or cvs.
