Flaky dry skin
I have oily skin acne prone skin but I would trade my oily skin for dry skin any day.
i guess it depends on your habits, while oily skin is good for those who wash their face often, which would leave it moisturized because of it's natural moisture and still clean without excess sebum,it's not good for those who play sports and can't wash their face right after sweating,it would .cause a lot of acne. but then again dry skin is bad for those who live in cold weather, swimmers, and those who just aren't the type to make sure their face is moisturized at all times. but dry skin is painful, oily is only painful if you have really bad acne-so dry is worse in that aspect
I've had both oily, acne prone skin and dry skin and from my perspective, there's downsides to both. They're both a struggle and both impact the condition of the skin.
Oily skin is better in the long run (in my opinion) because it tends to age better because the skin has it's natural oils as a moisturizer. Plus, the oiliness tends to go away as you age.
Dry skin usually ages faster so that's the disadvantage in my opinion. It can also be quite irritating because of flakiness or dryness.
Dry skin is the worst because it gets all crusty lol and will make you age faster. Oily skin, while not the ideal is better because people with oily skin tend to look younger longer and your skin keeps the natural oils.
The strange thing is oily skin is bad when you're young and dry skin can be bad when you're older. When you are older, you will be happier about having oily skin because as you age your skin will naturally dry out, but it may happen more slowly if you have oily skin to start with.
oily skin..looks WAY mroe obvios..feels nasty..makes people look uglier ..lighth hitd it and makes you bumps, fat look more obvios..looks TERRIBLE in bad lighting..
Can you edit your answer in the comments. I'm not saying that to be mean. There are just a lot of typos.

Combination skin. I never know what to do with my skin. It gets way to dry in some areas and then it gets too oily, and then it changes on me. parts of face that were once oily are now dry. It gets exhausting.
At least if you have one or the other you can create a routine and keep on it, but with my combination skin...it's always a surprise.
Mine's a little dry. Thank you lotion! I don't know which one is worse though...they both have their ups and downs. My mom has oily skin and she's always insecure about it, as are my friends with it. But drier skin will wrinkle sooner.
Same here, oily is worse because of acne. Lol when you have dry skin all you need is lotion, but oily is hard to get rid of...
Yeah and when you get rid of it, it makes you produce even more oil. And then there's enlarged pores that a lot of people with oily skin suffer from.
dry skin is worse cause your foundation sticks to patches and for me no exfoliant face mask or moisturizer will help it
oily skin you can use powder and ish
Oily is worst. You can keep your skin hydrated if dry. But oily ugh :(
The good news is as you get older the skin gets drier. So not too worry
I have oily skin too, I know what you mean but I have blotting tissue
I think oily skin is worse because of acne. Just put a mousterizior for dry skin.
Dry is actually worse. Makes you more prone to wrinkles
If I had to have one, I'd pick dry skin because once you put some lotion on, it's fine for a while. With oily skin I think I'd just feel like I want to shower all of the time.
Oily sucks, it's worse
I have oily skin it f***ing sucks.
I'd say dry skin.
Oily.
Oily:/
