I have had this issue for several months and I don't know what is causing this... Okay Right under my rib cage.. But in my stomach sorta it hurts. Every night I can't really sleep because it hurts so much. My mother suggested I start eating a lot more fiber.. But whenever I see food, I'm not hungry for it at all. I've lost 3 pounds in the last couple of months and it kinda shows. I hate to bother you about this, But I can't go to the doctors to find it out. Can you please help me?

first off I think you should see a doctor, health is impt
and I had a similar pain, it was under my left rib cage area sort of like a tight pulling pain, and it turns out it was just gas stuck in a valve or vein or something...so I think ur mom is right to eat fiber, helps ur digestive system...also eat tums, take beano, and drink green tea to cleanse ur system, the pains only gonna go away when you burp and fart to excrete the gas...
i also did some exercises like doing some light crunches, to help squeeze the air out...but be careful and don't try this yet until you see a doc because if ur having pain for sure in the stomache you may have an ulcer...and exercise may damage that more...so be careful!
i took some motrin to relieve the pain, and like you I also had lost of appetite because sometimes when ur sick, or have a bruise or headache, the pain is so overwhelming, you forget about the hunger and crave for food...
hope this helpss gluck
Only a doctor can tell you for sure what the problem is.
But it sounds like what I went through a few years ago. My doctor told me I have a problem with the acid in my stomach, which basically led to chronic pain in my stomach. So, I had to take a Zantac (it's a non-prescription antacid) every day for two weeks. Now, I just have to be careful about what I eat and take a Zantac or Tums if my stomach starts to hurt like that again.
I had a sharp pain in my stomach and it literally hurt so bad that I couldn't move...it turned out I needed emergency gallbladder surgery. My mom had the same thing happen 2 months later. You really need to go to the Dr. because it could be something serious that could be prevented if it is detected early enough. Good luck! :)
